How Metal Printing Works
Printing on metal gives us a new art medium for preserving photos. This is made possible by allowing the dyes to directly permeate the specially coated aluminum sheets.
Since the image is infused into the metal’s surface and not just sitting on it, it will take on an almost magical luminescence. The ultra-hard and scratch-resistant surface is waterproof, weatherproof, and can be cleaned easily. If the product is not placed under direct sunlight, the integrity of the print will be better protected. The estimated colorfastness of the image can last more than 100 years.
